Aggregated economic forecasts and forecast accuracy analysis for your financial models and plans. Every number in these sections is produced by code from a maintained data registry of authoritative institutional sources — Federal Reserve (FOMC), CBO, IMF, OECD, European Commission, World Bank, the Philadelphia Fed Survey of Professional Forecasters and EIA — acquired, verified and refreshed automatically. Click any cell to see its full provenance: publisher, document, vintage and primary-source link.

MethodologyNumbers are extracted from primary institutional sources with programmatic verification (no LLM-authored values). Predictive-power metrics are based on Average Error, Mean Absolute Error and Adjusted Mean Absolute Error analysis, computed per institution, indicator and horizon from forecast vintages vs realised outturns
Frequently asked

Aggregated forecasts, and how we know which are reliable

Every number in the repository is traceable to a named institutional publication, and every institution's historical accuracy is measured rather than assumed.

01What are aggregated economic forecasts?+

Aggregated economic forecasts bring together the published outlooks of several authoritative institutions for the same indicator, year and country, so you can see the full range of institutional expectations instead of relying on a single source. Balgove Innovations aggregates forecasts for Ukraine, the United States and India from the IMF, World Bank, OECD, European Commission, the Federal Reserve (FOMC), CBO, EIA, the Philadelphia Fed Survey of Professional Forecasters, the Asian Development Bank, the Reserve Bank of India, the National Bank of Ukraine and other primary publishers.

02Which economic forecast is the most reliable, and who is the best economic forecaster?+

Reliability is measured, not asserted. Because every forecast vintage is archived, each institution's past projections are compared with the realised outturns to compute its Average Error, Mean Absolute Error and Adjusted Mean Absolute Error for every indicator and forecast horizon. The repository therefore shows which institution has historically been the most accurate forecaster for the specific indicator you care about — GDP growth, inflation, the policy rate, the fiscal balance or the exchange rate.

03How can I compare economic forecasts across institutions?+

Each indicator is presented as one table: institutions down the rows, years across the columns, estimates and forecasts marked 'E' and 'F'. Click any cell to see its provenance — publisher, document, page or table, publication vintage and a link to the primary source — and download the whole table as Excel with the citations attached.

04Can I use these economic forecasts in financial models, financial planning and valuation?+

Yes — that is what the repository is built for. Analysts use the aggregated macro outlook as the driver set for financial models, budgets and financial plans, and as the macro basis for valuation and discount-rate work. Forecast-accuracy scores help you choose which institution's path to adopt as the base case and which to keep as a sensitivity.

05How does backtesting economic forecasts work here?+

The registry is append-only: when an institution publishes a new edition, the previous forecast is retained and marked superseded rather than overwritten. That archive of vintages is what makes genuine backtesting possible — errors are computed against what was actually knowable at the time of each forecast, not against a revised history.

06How current is the data?+

Publications are monitored automatically and new editions are acquired, verified and extracted as they appear. Market and policy series — oil, natural gas, Treasury yields, the federal funds rate, EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/INR, UAH/USD and the RBI repo rate — refresh daily from official and market sources.
